Be Glad

We were commissioned to design this poster as a gift to the kid’s of our church. The brief was: ‘something pretty colourful and cool as opposed to all the options on the market at the moment!’

We added cute and humorous and came up with this …

New Work

We’ve just added some new work to the portfolio – a collection of logos, marks and icons designed over the last few years.

Check them out.

Much Needed Update

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been nearly nine months since my last blog post!

My excuse is that I’ve been busy, but in truth I’ve mostly just been slack (and focusing on other things).

Let me give you a brief visual update on some of the work I’ve been doing of late. In the grid below you’ll find websites, logos and publications.

Typographic Verses

A couple months ago one of my designs was featured on typographic verses.

I originally designed the piece to be projected onto a wall for an easter church service. Anyway, here it is…

Busy, busy, busy

We’ve been super busy lately, hence the lack of activity on here. So I thought I’d give a quick update on some of the work we’ve been doing…

The last few months have brought plenty of variety, including design work for (from top to bottom, left to right): magazines, jerseys, websites, corporate collateral, social media, plus some photography and heaps more.

Fundamental Elements of Design

Here’s a great video by Erica Gorochow on the fundamentals of design and how to use them to make a brand iconic.

Allan Industries Signage

We’re currently overhauling all of Allan Industries’ signage and here is the first (sorry about the poor quality, the photo was kindly taken by the client on their phone!).

New New Theatre Branding

“We’re not slick, we’re not refined and we don’t conform.”

This statement by New Theatre is summed up brilliantly in their new branding by Interbrand.

I absolutely love the new logo and identity! It’s simple, witty and amazingly flexible. The way the slab serifs of the ‘N’ monogram are integrated into every part of the identity is brilliant. I particularly like the ‘open/closed’ and toilet signage.

Logo analysis by a 5-year-old

Cincinnati, Ohio-based identity designer Adam Ladd asked his 5-year-old daughter her impressions on some popular logos.

Her responses are very cute – take a look.
