Wycliffe South Africa branding
Wycliffe South Africa came to us wanting a complete re-brand, starting with the logo and covering all their visual communication. The logo needed to represent the ‘rainbow nation’ – the diversity and life of the new South Africa. It had to create a fresh awareness and excitement about Wycliffe and its vision of ‘seeing Bible translation in progress in every language still needing it by 2025’.
Our ‘butterfly’ is the perfect solution. It is a metaphor for transformed lives, and in its wings are pages of the Bible. The national colours convey the diversity and life of South Africa and also Wycliffe. And it creates the shape of a ‘W’ too!
The branding package included: logo, website, stationery, pull-up banner, brochure, poster, powerpoint presentation, newsletter templates (email and print), signage, social media graphics, and the development of the new tagline ‘Unlocking God’s Word through Bible Translation.’
Working with people in a very different time zone slowed the project at times, but regular Skype chats and emails provided for a fairly smooth process.
